  • Indestructible - Heat treated chromoly steel - Light Weight. Tired of replacing worn sprockets? This is the solution - A 12 month Guarantee! Engineered, built, and raced by racers. 200,000 psi steel vs. 40,000 psi aluminum. See Also: Chain/Sprocket Combos Renthal Sprocket Specialists Ironman sprockets are the toughest racing sprockets made. They are virtually the same weight as an aluminum sprocket but approximately 5 times the strength. This incredible strength has allowed us to use minimal material and at the same time provide a product that is stronger than any sprocket you have ever owned. The birth of a sprocket: Our sprockets begin their life in 3D modeling software to optimize stress distribution and weight savings. Then, programming code is transferred to a Swiss-made, $750,000 CNC laser cutting machine that is accurate within .001" (that is one third of a human hair). They are heat treated to the hardness of a Snap On wrench. Our sprockets are then precision surface ground flat to within .001". Finishing details are CNC machined. Sprockets are then bead blasted, nickel and chrome plated for corrosion and additional wear protection. They are inspected for tolerance and run out. They are laser engraved with the model and manufacturing info.
